His father was an ophthalmologist with Indian Railways, so they moved frequently. He grew up and completed his studies and made his choice to do business, invested money in Poultry farming and real estates and was a successful man. He is married to Vijaya Kumari and has a daughter.

TRANSFORMATION JAGGI VASUDEV to SADHGURU - The Mystic Guru??
It was a regular practice for Jaggi Vasudev to ride upto Chamundi hill from his child hood. He used to travel on his favorite bike regularly at his young age with friends..
There is a tradition that is celebrated near Chamundi Hill.It was at the age of 25 on 23-SEP-1982 he rode upto to the hill usually as his routine.
Jaggi was unknown about the day changing his life sitting on a rock in "CHAMUNDI HILLS".
Suddenly he turned to be surprising about himself and was not able to identify himself "which is me and Which is not me., the magnus continued for more than 4 hours.

He came to his friends and described about his state of being, but of no surprise they made fun in a friendly manner asking him what have you drunk...He went to home, looks at his mom and rushes to his bedroom with out talking. But he couldn't escape from her mother as she was the first person to find the change in Jaggi .
Jaggi felt like his moment of being a person he was just gone..he was no spiritual till that moment nor studied any scriptures...even till today??
He then decided to leave his business to his friends and started his efforts to gain insight into his mystical experience.
So he started travelling on his bike for long one and a half year whatever he saw in his mind and learned Yoga , spirituality..
He thought to change the world into ecstasy in the next 2-3 yrs.
About his marital life: Sadhguru met his love who was bank employee and she was also a great support for Jaggi Vasudev in his spiritual path. He then proposed to his parents saying that he is married to this girl and never looked for society to accept it as all his families opposed towards the caste system.
He got married to her n 1984 on MahaShivaratri and was blessed with a baby girl in 1990.
Being a follower of ADI GURU - LORD SHIVA, he started teaching Yoga classes continued his living and the earnings from the yoga classes , business rentals and continued the journey..
Vijaya Kumari gave Sadhguru her support voluntarily on managing and teaching Yoga classes.
They were blessed with baby girl named as Radhe Jaggi..
Travelling: Sadhguru in his words,
He traveled across INDIA along with his daughter in MARUTI 800 when she was three and a half months old and in 1 calendar year they could achieve 13500 KM on his Maruti 800.
It was the time people used to think ATHITHIDEVO BHAVA and was welcomed by people to feed them wherever they traveled...
There were situations people didnt accept to serve food but nothing stopped the Great Man.
Sadhguru traveled across India around the valleys, mountains, villages, Temples , energy sources, interacted with people of various regions and studied completely.
The child grew up in the car till she was 4 yrs of age and Sadhguru never wanted her to go to school.. Somehow he found that unless they have same group around them it would not fetch the need to grow up, so she was raised up in various residential schools and were in touch through the telephones.
Isha Foundation: He started Isha foundation in 1992 near Coimbatore and by the year 1994 it went to be one of the greatest foundation of that times..
Sadhguru invested his life for his belief in ADI GURU (LORD SHIVA) to do YOGA teachings which was generations with us and part of the human lives thousands of (10,000) years ago.

Consecration of Dhyanalinga:

Wife leaving the world:
Later after the Dhyanalingam was consecrated, one fine day Vijaya Kumari(Sadhguru wife) was talking to him and said that she would be leaving the body for which Sadhguru has asked why now??
She has decided to leave the body and it was done infront of hundreds of people.
Sadhguru is fighting from then as ONE MAN ARMY to keep the Isha foundation eternal...
